Standard Cell GDS Manufacturability

No matter how you built your library, ProDFMOptimizer is the easiest and safest way to improve standard cell manufacturability. ProDFMOptimizer takes standard cell GDS as input, and performs a variety of manufacturability enhancements, including adding redundant contacts wherever possible, and increasing contact overlap wherever possible.

With ProDFMOptimizer, enhanced cells may be characterized and managed as part of the library, preventing the last-minute surprises inevitable with last-minute layout adjustment. Furthermore, ProDFMOptimizer is aware of power and performance considerations as it makes its manufacturability changes. The tool does not impact the footprint of a cell, so its area is not reduced, but because it improves routability, it can significantly improve chip area.
