NEWARK, Calif. -- April 5, 2005 - Prolific Inc., today announced that Atmel Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML) has selected Prolific's ProGenesis® layout automation software to create Standard cell and Metal Programmable libraries for its digital and mixed-signal products. Automating these processes will allow Atmel's products to reach its consumer, communications, computing, and automotive customers more quickly. Atmel has already completed one standard-cell library using ProGenesis, and is nearing completion of another.
